A 6/14 article in the New York Times Magazine discusses the proposed California high speed rail, that will supposedly allow people to travel between Los Angeles and San Francisco in under 3 hours.
While it’s encouraging that this is being planned, it’s also frustrating how long it’s taking and how limited such plans are in the U.S., which urgently needs alternative transportation. As the article mentions, Amtrak is notorious for slow and unreliable service.
